If you like animals, competitions, cool science and great books then check out the Eastern Regional Libraries website.
It is designed for kids 7-12 years old, and has some excellent resources including my favourite, the Cool Science page which has links to cool experiments, science websites and a list of great Science Fiction books to read. How cool is that?
You can find them at: http://www.erl.vic.gov.au/kids/kids.htm
There is a page of Top Reads with book reviews by kids for kids. You can even ask a librarian a question…awesome!
If you like listening to stories on-line, check out the TumbleBook library link on the right hand side. You can listen to picture story or chapter books. So cool. Have fun

Do you like science experiments and making things?
Check out Toys from Trash, it is an amazing treasure trove of ideas.
Some of the categories of experiments include: astronomy, maths, simple pump mechanisms, paper fun, tippling-toppling toys, motors and generators, electricity and magnetism, simple Newtonian physics, pressure, light, sound, flying, force, spinning, toys, magic, biology, air and water.
The site has literally hundreds of toys and simple experiments you can do using trash and other objects you can find around the house.
