Transit of Venus Australia 6th June 2012

Did you know that Venus will be transiting across the Sun on the 6th June, 2012?

This is a rare and historic event and we are in a very fortunate position to be able to observe it here.

For more information have a look at the Astronomical Association of Queensland’s Transit of Venus website the address isĀ  http://www.transitofvenus.com.au/HOME.html or click this link.

The site has some terrific information about the transit and some very important information about how to observe the transit safely.

AstroSarah has put up a special Transit of Venus page on her blog.

You can get there by following the link on the left hand side or click this link.
