After reading a book about bats at school, we started learning about how they find their way around (and how they find their dinner!)
Bats use a system called echolocation. The animal emits or sends out a series of sounds that hit and reflect off objects or other animals and then reflect back to the animal.

Aren’t animals clever? So bats, dolphins and some birds use echolocation.
Humans use echolocation too in submarines called sonar.
