Aren’t the holidays a drag? Nothing to do? (said no one ever!)
But, if you are looking to escape the heat or just want some quiet, indoor fun, check out these activities on ABC Splash.
Here is the link : http://splash.abc.net.au/games#/
You will find an awesome range of science games but there is more! Altogether there is over 400 games covering a range of subject areas from Foundation to Year 10.
That should be enough to keep you going for a while 🙂 Have fun!

Then look no further than Science Kids!
Science Kids is a NZ based website (judging from their web address) that says it is “the home of science & technology on the Internet for children around the world.”
Learn more about the amazing world of science by enjoying our fun science experiments, cool facts, online games, free activities, ideas, lesson plans, photos, quizzes, videos & science fair projects.
The site is really easy to navigate (get around). Check it out! 🙂
Thanks to Pics 4 Learning for the pic
If you are looking for some cool interactive science games, videos, experiments to try or quizzes, have a look at Science Kids!

If you like animals, competitions, cool science and great books then check out the Eastern Regional Libraries website.
It is designed for kids 7-12 years old, and has some excellent resources including my favourite, the Cool Science page which has links to cool experiments, science websites and a list of great Science Fiction books to read. How cool is that?
You can find them at: http://www.erl.vic.gov.au/kids/kids.htm
There is a page of Top Reads with book reviews by kids for kids. You can even ask a librarian a question…awesome!
If you like listening to stories on-line, check out the TumbleBook library link on the right hand side. You can listen to picture story or chapter books. So cool. Have fun 🙂
I have added some fantastic new games to the “Interactive Science Games Page”
Check out the Apollo 11 Moon landing at We Choose the Moon or test your knowledge and skill against Garfield at Professor Garfield’s Knowledge Ring.
Make your own jigsaw puzzle at Jigsaw Planet.
Don’t forget, if you know of a game or interactive you think other kids would like and will not be blocked at school, click on the Leave a Comment button and let me know!
Have fun 🙂
